Smoothies are delicious AND healthy, and this is why they’re becoming more and more sought-after as more people turn to healthy alternatives in their diets.

It doesn’t need to break the bank and can be made quickly in just 10 minutes or less with whatever ingredients you decide on!

For the sake of health, though, we’re going to focus on healthy, nutrient-dense smoothies.

What You’ll Need:

  • Your ingredients! This is totally up to you whether you want to focus on bananas, strawberries, strawberries, and spinach. It’s your call!

  • A blender – you don’t need an expensive one, just your typical blender will do. For this recipe, we’ll focus on a simple banana smoothie.

Preparation steps:

  1. Assemble ingredients in the blender. In our basic recipe, you’ll want to focus on measuring 1 cup of liquid to 2 cups of fruit. Your liquid maybe water or a milk alternative like Almond Milk or Oat Milk.

  2. You may add other ingredients to spice up your smoothie and add nutritional value, such as 1 tbspn of peanut butter, Greek yoghurt, seeds, protein powder, maca powder, etc.

  3. After adding all ingredients into your blender, it’s time to blend! It’s best to blend on high to break everything down smoothly.

  4. Time to serve! Pour into a cup and enjoy!

If you are short on “ideas” for different smoothie recipes check some out some tips here, you may even be able to whip this up in FIVE minutes or less.

Here are some tips to follow up on the preparation you might want to consider when making your quick and easy smoothie!

  • You might want to add ice at the bottom if you’re not using totally frozen fruit. This ensures it’s a nice, cold smoothie for you to enjoy.

  • Toppings, anyone? These aren’t required but might add a little something to the smoothie! This may include almonds, walnuts, cashews, flax/chia seeds, granola, etc.

  • You can add a straw if you want to for appearance purposes, or just drink it straight.

Bottoms up! Time to enjoy a fresh smoothie at your total ease and convenience.
